Iran and Saudi Arabia Emphasize Expanding Investment Relations in Riyadh
WANA (Nov 26) – Iran’s Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance, Hemmati, met with Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Investment on the sidelines of the 28th Global Investment Summit in Riyadh. Both sides emphasized the importance of developing investment relations.
Abdulnasser Hemmati, Iran’s Minister of Economic Affairs, discussed opportunities for expanding economic and investment cooperation between the two countries with Khalid Al-Falih, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Investment. The focus of the discussions was on achieving mutual benefits and strengthening bilateral economic collaboration.
Hemmati also held meetings with Suleiman Al-Jasser, President of the Islamic Development Bank, and Abdulhamid Al-Khalifa, President of the OPEC Fund, and delivered a speech at the Ministerial Roundtable of the 28th World Investment Agency (WIPA) Summit.
The 28th Global Investment Summit, held from November 25 to 27, 2024, in Riyadh, focuses on “Harnessing Digital Transformation and Investment Opportunities for Scalable Sustainable Growth.” The international conference aims to address challenges and opportunities in foreign direct investment (FDI), trade, and technology.
